Since 1952, the Texas Independent College Foundation has helped independent colleges in Texas ensure that access to private higher education in Texas is an affordable option for students from all backgrounds.
Corporate gifts to the Texas Independent College Foundation are investments in the future of promising Texas students and in corporate goodwill, a combination that is good for Texas. Your corporate gift reaches small, private colleges and universities throughout the State, and students who need your support and encouragement to realize their dreams.
The Texas Independent College Foundation can help you meet your philanthropic and community reinvestment goals by tailoring a scholarship or general support program that will serve specific academic disciplines, communities, and/or demographics.The benefits of TICF management of your named scholarship include:

TICF is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit foundation supporting private colleges and universities in Texas. Your gift is tax deductible.
Gift Designations
I. Scholarships
General Scholarship Fund - these gifts are distributed to each institution to support their highest scholarship needs.
Restricted Scholarships - these gifts are donor directed to meet a variety of needs such as support for students from low income families; students in a specific academic discipline; students who maintain a certain grade point; students from a particular geographic region; or, any purpose that serves a corporation, foundation, or individual philanthropic goal.
Named Scholarships are donor designated to provide either unrestricted support for students or to support students in specific majors or levels, or students from specific regions of Texas. These scholarships may be awarded based on need or merit or both. Named scholarships may be established with a gift of $25,000 or more, providing at least one, one-year, $1,000 scholarship for 25 students.
Future of Texas™ - a collective of 500 corporations, foundations, and individuals who give $500 annually to provide a scholarship pool to support the education goals of low-income and first-generation college students. The scholarship pool will be distributed annually to TICF-member colleges and universities, and an annual recognition event will highlight student successes.
II. Unrestricted support allows each institution to direct gift funds to their highest needs, such as scholarships, operating costs, programming costs, research, student services, and other areas.
III. Future of Texas program gifts support the planning, implementation, and growth of statewide collaborative programs to address critical education issues. Program areas include: Information for middle and high school students about the importance of college; Preparation for middle and high school students to be successful in college; Access to college through financial assistance for low income families; and Enhancement of learning through programs such as Ethics Match™ that promote good citizenship and just and honorable leadership.

Corporate Matching Gifts - if your company matches employee contributions, please include your match forms, and we will process them for you.
Gifts of stock - to the Texas Independent College Foundation may help you avoid tax on capital gains and receive a deduction for the market value of the stock. Check with your accountant or broker for details.
